This Ancient Egyptian tattoo design is a black and grey drawing of a shaded hieroglyph for vulture. There are two different glyphs for vulture, this is the one which is associated with the Goddess Mut, making it a symbol for mother. Apparently mother vultures of some breeds are extremely protective of their young.
