Weed, dope, chronic, fire, pot, and the devil's lettuce are all nicknames for the drug that comes from the Marijuana plant. It has been medicinally ingested or smoked for many, many generations and even though it has gone through an ebb and flow of legality in some regions it is unlikely that it will ever disappear.
