The Celtic triskele is said to represent many things. One thing is certain, the spiral is and was used for contemplation within the Celtic rituals, so the triskele (being made of three spirals) must represent deep contemplation in one direction or another. There is much debate over what it is exactly wanting us to think about, but it should be viewed as a symbol of focus nonetheless. This is a very common theme within the Celtic traditions. Many Celtic symbols are used to gain focus on our place and purpose within the universe and to aid us in our decision making.
Also known as triskelion, triskelle, or triple spiral.
