The fifth pillar of Islam is Hajj; pilgrimage. The believer is to make the journey to Mecca at some point in their life. This is so that they may pray in the immediate presence of the black stone. Thousands of people make this journey every year and enormous masses of Muslims gather at the Dome of the Rock for daily prayers.
