This tattoo design is a black and grey drawing of the Goddess Hathor represented as a female wearing a horned sun disk with a uraeus. As she is associated with motherhood she is also related to death. In later years she was believed to assist the newly dead in the afterlife. Because of this she is shown here with a mummified body.
